These terms govern your use of love-church.com (the "site"). By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Love Church is an online study ministry founded in 2023, based in South Africa. We publish long-form teachings on biblical topics. We are not a registered church corporation; we are a content ministry.

2. The teachings - read at your own discernment
Every teaching on this site is the result of careful study of Scripture, but the teachings are written by people. They are offered as study material, not as infallible doctrine. You are encouraged - and indeed required - to weigh every claim against Scripture for yourself.
The teachings include positions that not all Christians hold (for example, Saturday Sabbath, annihilationism, a Wednesday crucifixion timeline, the continuing applicability of clean and unclean food laws). These are stated openly and the reasoning is shown in the text. Read them, test them, decide for yourself.
If a teaching turns out to be wrong, we rewrite it and log the change in the Change Log.
3. Free content vs. members-only content
Most teachings are free to read in full. A handful are members-only, accessible to paying subscribers. We do not gate Scripture. We gate the longer, more research-intensive studies because someone has to fund the research time.
Membership prices, billing terms, and what's included are shown on the Membership page and at checkout. By subscribing you agree to the price and billing schedule shown.
4. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a membership at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, with no further charges. You keep access to members-only content until that period ends.
We do not generally offer refunds for partial periods. If you believe you've been charged in error, email lovechurchgroup@gmail.com and we'll look at it.
If you genuinely cannot afford membership but want to read the locked content, email us with the subject "Comp access". The teachings exist to be read; cost should never be the barrier.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has accessed your account. We may suspend accounts that are shared, abused, or used to scrape content.
6. What you may and may not do with the content
You may:
- Read every teaching personally, as much as you like
- Quote teachings in your own writing or sermons with attribution to Love Church (love-church.com)
- Link to teachings from anywhere
- Print a teaching for personal study
You may not:
- Republish a teaching in full (free or members-only) on another website, blog, or print publication without our written permission
- Sell access to our content
- Strip our attribution or paywall
- Use our content to train commercial AI/ML systems
- Frame, hotlink, or scrape the site at scale

7. Intellectual property
All content on the site - text, design, code, images we created - is © Love Church 2023–present and protected by copyright. Scripture quotations are from public-domain or properly-licensed translations as cited within each teaching. The Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic source words are public domain.
The custom Ghost theme is © Love Church and is not licensed for redistribution.
8. Donations
Donations are made via Stripe. They are voluntary, non-refundable, and not tax-deductible. We are not a registered charity. If a donation policy changes (e.g. we register charity status), the Donations page will be updated.
9. No warranties
The site and its content are provided "as is". We try to keep the site accurate, online, and free of errors, but we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, that information is current, or that the site is fit for any specific purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Love Church and its founders are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including without limitation damages for loss of profits, data, or business interruption.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site, in aggregate, shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for free readers is zero.
This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, fraud or gross negligence).
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Love Church against any third-party claim arising from your misuse of the site, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights through your use of the site.
12. Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access to the site if you breach these terms. You can cancel your membership at any time. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We can update these terms. Material changes will be announced in a teaching email. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email goes to the courts of South Africa with exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Severability
If a court rules a provision of these terms unenforceable, the rest of the terms remain in effect.
